I thought I’d show you guys a special order I’m working on. People often ask if I make this dress in other colors so here’s an example. This dress is for a brides maid, and although the colors aren’t what I would have chosen, I’m really happy with the way it turned out.

The customer asked me to make the shoulder strap “black and pink swirled, like Rodart”. Let me start by saying I often get asked to copy other designers dresses and I always decline, I’m a designer not a seamstress. I figured in this case it was alright, I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I was inspired by Rodart when I designed this dress, but in the end it’s still completely my design. So I broke out the black dye and went to work, you can’t see in the pictures but there is also a bit of the strap in the back that’s dyed black too.

Brides have been asking for an after ceremony dress, and this would be perfect. It’s available for special order here, and here. It can be made in any color, I think it would make a nice bridesmaid dress too. What do you think?
