The Gold Spalding

In the world of indie fashion design I refer to my job as “apparel manufacturing”. It more accurately describes what I do on a daily basis. People think I just sketch, and sew all the time. That’s totally not true, my time is spent, pattern making, sourcing fabrics, sample making, meeting people, driving to meetings, shipping, and emailing.

But not recently, I indulged in some sketching and sewing, and made a one of a kind dress! I’m calling it “The Gold Spalding”, it’s made from vintage lace and new cotton with a few feathers and a vintage button from my grandmothers cigar box. This is really the way I prefer to work, so please let me know what you think.
