Today I want to tell you about a lovely fiber artist I know, she makes some of the most exciting accessories out of yarn. Just look at this adorable vest, can’t you imagine it as an awesome layering piece, or the perfect addition to a solid knit dress?
Rose makes hats and scarfs and the lovely cowls for sale in the shop. She likes to use 100% alpaca, which she says is “absolutely decadent against the skin! poor man’s cashmere, if you will. but it ain’t that cheap mind you. just not obscenely expensive”, I couldn’t agree more. I love that she photographs everything on herself, then blogs about what kind of sandwich she had for lunch, you just can’t get more real then that. I’ve never met her in person but I feel like we’re old friends. You can be her friend too, check out her blog here, and her etsy store here.

Sylvia Sanchez lives between two cities, Bogotá and Paris. She considers her first collection, «ECHANTILLONS», to be a series of compliments. I’m sure this winter hat would compliment my head if I was struggling through a Minneapolis winter, or going ice skating.
The whole Warmi collection is hand-knit in baby alpaca and merino wool by female weavers from the villages of Tausa and Sutatausa in Colombia. Production is limited to 300 articles, each one numbered and signed by the artisan who made it.
Sylvia says her collection has a timeless feel thats feminine and a little doll like. I’d agree and add that it all feels very dreamy.
