We’ve added some very sweet Shinzi Katoh towels in the shop!

We have some new tea cups by Irana Douer in the shop. This time it’s a proper tea cup and saucer combo. Take a look, they are gorgeous. If you want one, act quick, last time they sold out fast.

From now until the end of the month, you can receive a 15% discount on all non-sale items. You have Paper-Doll to thank. While you’re at it get lost in their fabulous designer data base.

We have thin splintering hardwood floors in our house, so I thought “lets make lemon aide from them lemons”, and I bought these lovely yellow room shoes from elephant and chickpea. The yellow ones on the right will soon be arriving at my door, although I couldn’t decide between these two pairs. Lemon Mary Janes? Yes Please!!!
I first discovered Kusmi tea in Denmark, where it seems to be the only kind of tea served. When I got home to Portland, I couldn’t find it anywhere, however I did spot some at Anthropologie, but I can’t buy tea from Anthropologie that’s just not right.
Oh but Santa….stuffed 3 boxes in my stocking, and I’m so in love, with the Prince Wladimir. The smell is something to behold, sorta citrus, sorta vanilla, sorta black tea I wish I could share this smell with you, right now. It’s almost like the smell of cola gummie bottles, if they grew on a tree in a lush spring meadow. I like the pre bagged kind because the tea bags are hand sewn from muslin. I do think if you order a box right now, it will truly change your life.
I have never seen this much snow in Portland. We have been snowed in for over a week. The mail man didn’t even come yesterday. However, I have an appointment today with a dear friend to make a snow man!
I could really use these mittens right now. Made from 100% baby llama imported from Peru, then knitted by a local knitter, according to a makool design. If a baby bunny could come through your screen right now and curl up on your lap, you might have an idea of how soft and luxurious these mittens are. Treat yourself to a bunny hug for your hands this winter.
We decided to mark down the alphabet shirt a whole bunch. It was $86.00 but now it’s $48.00, and that includes shipping.
Today I want to tell you about a lovely fiber artist I know, she makes some of the most exciting accessories out of yarn. Just look at this adorable vest, can’t you imagine it as an awesome layering piece, or the perfect addition to a solid knit dress?
Rose makes hats and scarfs and the lovely cowls for sale in the shop. She likes to use 100% alpaca, which she says is “absolutely decadent against the skin! poor man’s cashmere, if you will. but it ain’t that cheap mind you. just not obscenely expensive”, I couldn’t agree more. I love that she photographs everything on herself, then blogs about what kind of sandwich she had for lunch, you just can’t get more real then that. I’ve never met her in person but I feel like we’re old friends. You can be her friend too, check out her blog here, and her etsy store here.
We just made a new necklace, inspired by our recent trip to Amsterdam. It’s an antique print from a Dutch book showing the different kinds of bikes available back in the day. We took the image, shrunk it down very small and dyed it with tea, English Breakfast to be exact. For the final step we covered it with hard resin to last forever. The result is this beautiful antique looking locket.
Perfect for a girl like me who keeps asking Santa for a Dutch bike for Christmas, sadly this may be all he can afford.
I can’t get enough of Argentinian artist Irana Douer. We still have a few of her cups left in the shop.
